Max Watson, Senior Academic Advisor
Max Watson is a Visiting Fellow at St Antony’s College, Oxford, and a Fellow of Wolfson College, Oxford. He is Research Director of the UK consultancy John Howell and Co Ltd. In 2010-2011, he was a Director of the Central Bank of Ireland. Until 2007, he was adviser to the Director General of Economic and Financial Affairs at the European Commission. Previously he was at the IMF, where he was successively head of the International Capital Markets Division; mission chief to countries in the euro area and emerging Europe; and a Deputy Director of the Fund.
